Danga Bay Marina in Johor Bahru on the south coast of Malaysia, has purchased a Versi-Dredge 7012 HP dredger from IMS Dredge for use in the marina and surrounding estuary waters.
In a 2012 dredging project at Gloucester Docks and the nearby canal, almost 9,000 cubic metres of silt were removed from the mentioned area.
The dredger, with the aid of GPS guided software, is working through a grid pattern that will result in a full 12-foot deep entrance to the Cobourg harbour.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Los Angeles District, used an IMS Model 7012 HP Versi-Dredge® in a beneficial reuse project at Marina Del Rey, California, the largest man-made marina in the United States.
The channels had silted in and were just a few feet deep. Most of the debris from the fire had collapsed into the basin forming an almost impenetrable mass.
