The IMS Versi-Dredge is designed to be operated by a single person, but there are times when a remote controlled dredge is required. Sometimes contaminated rivers and lagoons require remote operation or possibly a tailings pond that is in danger of failing.
The Versi-Dredge can be converted into a remote controlled dredging system with some quick changes to the standard CAN bus system and a shoulder mounted remote control. This option allows the operator to run the dredge from up to 1,000 ft. (305m) away as long as a line of sight exists. Essentially the Versi-Dredge is the world’s first self-propelled dredge in the 10×12 pump size range with a remote control optional feature.
