IMS is pleased to announce that is now offers sub-meter accurate, dredging global positioning systems (DGPS) for all IMS Versi-Dredge® systems. The DGPS system allows the operator to track where dredging has been performed and where dredging needs to be performed. This eliminates all of the guess work and increases productivity by eliminating overlapping in cuts and the need to measure bottom depths with probes.
The Versi-Dredge is already the most user-friendly dredge on the market. The cabin is extremely comfortable and comes standard with climate control, joystick controls, digital pressure gauges, digital depth gauge, cutterhead/pump view window, dual doors, and a push button start. The patented Starwheel Drive® self-propulsion system held exclusively by IMS allows the dredge to maneuver effortlessly in lakes, canals, marinas, rivers, and ponds. By integrating a DGPS system on the Versi-Dredge the operator has complete 360-degree unrestricted maneuverability and the ability to track its cuts using state-of-the-art dredge positioning software. Once again IMS is thinking ahead of the competition and providing the most user-friendly piece of equipment without compromising performance.
