Floatation System
|
 The
floatation system of the IMS VERSI-DREDGE™ is designed to deliver
lightweight transportability and still maintain high durability. The
unique bulkhead and stringer design of the float structure provides
optimum strength while using lighter weight materials. The bottom of
the floats are made of thicker material to provide wear resistance
where needed the most. The system includes four individual float
structures, each divided into two separate air-tight compartments,
for a total of 8 floatation cells for safety. All cells are provided
with removable covers large enough for access to all areas inside in
case repair is required. High quality epoxy coating is provided to
minimize corrosion. All top walking surfaces of the floatation
system are decked with special non-skid fiberglass grating. |
